Barn Door Soft-Close Unit Maintenance Guide:
Clean the track regularly
Wipe the surface of the track weekly with a dry soft cloth to remove dust and debris
Stubborn stains can be gently wiped with a neutral cleaner + microfiber cloth, steel wool/acidic solvents are prohibited
Frequency: Wipe by hand after daily use, deep cleaning once a month.
Roller system lubrication
Spray silicone-based lubricant (e.g. WD-40 Specialist) on roller bearings quarterly
Damper piston rod with cotton swabs thinly coated with Teflon grease, to avoid liquid infiltration of the hydraulic system
Note: After lubrication, push and pull the door 10 times to make the oil film evenly distributed.
Inspection of Mechanical Components
Check the fixing screws every month (especially at the connection between the track bracket and the door body).
Use torque wrench to tighten according to the value of the manual to prevent over-locking
Observe whether there is oil oozing out of the damper or abnormal noise, and stop using it immediately in case of abnormality.
Optimization of use habits
Maintain a constant speed when pushing and pulling the door to avoid the end hitting the damper violently.
Single sliding distance is recommended to be no more than 2 meters, long track needs to increase the intermediate support point.
Do not exceed the rated weight of the door body (usually labeled in the damper shell).
Environmental control
Keep the humidity <70%, coastal areas can be quarterly coated with antirust wax.
Check the track thermal expansion and contraction gap when there is a big temperature difference (1.5mm expansion gap per meter).
Dusty environments are recommended to add track dustproof rubber strips
